How are your pajamas sized?

In general, our pajamas are chosen with the highest standards for quality and consistency including the sizing. Most of the pajamas that we sell tend to have a generous fit, unless otherwise stated as with the fitted pajamas or hipster style pajamas.

Some of the pajamas have a unique fit and may have a sizing chart in the description.

Most other pajamas tend to run as follows:

Small 4-6
Medium 8-10
Large 12
X-large 14

When in doubt, we like to recommend sizing up, most people prefer a more comfortable fitting pajamas.

Yes, we can special order 2x & 3x sizes from BedHead Pajamas as a special order with lead time. Call The Pajama Store for details.

Does The Pajama Store sell Tall sized pajamas?

No, at this time we do not offer tall sized pajamas. But we may offer more sizing options in the future. All products we carry are listed on the website.

Do the pajamas shrink with washing?

Yes, most of our pajamas are made from cotton and may shrink up to ˝ size when washed. All of our pajamas and other products have a care label with washing instructions.

How do I care for silk pajamas and silk products?

All of our products have a care label with washing instructions. In general, silk can be dry cleaned or hand washed in cold water with a small amount of mild soap and dried flat. Silk naturally resists soiling making it easy to launder.

Yes, in winter and early fall we do sell pajamas with feet. They are sold on a limited time basis and they do sell out fast.

Does The Pajama Store carry mother/daughter pajamas or family pajamas?

No, at this time we do not carry pajamas for the whole family, but in the future we may consider it.

What is the difference between cotton poplin pajamas and flannel pajamas?

While both poplin pajamas and flannel pajamas are cotton products, poplin is a cotton weave that is similar to a dress shirt and it wears cooler than warmer, fuzzier flannel. Poplin pajamas tend to get softer with washing.

What is chenille?

Chenille was developed many years ago and it commonly used in robes, blankets, and even loungewear, but rarely pajamas. It is made by a process of stitching that creates soft, fluffy tufts in the material that give it a full appearance with a soft feel.

At this time, we do not have a store where you can purchase pajamas, but we have plans to open stores in the future. New store information will appear on our website at that time.
